Actress Rupa Dutta has been captured for supposedly submitting consideration redirection robbery at the scene of the International Kolkata Book Fair, police said on Sunday. Dutta, who has acted in TV cleansers, was captured on Saturday after a cop saw her tossing a satchel into a dustbin, an official of Bidhan Nagar North police headquarters said.
She was then kept and addressed, during which inconsistencies were found in her responses. A few satchels and Rs 75,000 in real money were found from her pack during a hunt, he said.
“The lady has been captured regarding ‘kepmari’ (consideration redirection burglary) and further examination is in progress to see if more individuals are associated with the wrongdoing,” the official said.
Dutta was before in the soup after she wrongly blamed movie producer Anurag Kashyap for lewd behavior, while sharing via online media screen captures of her discussion with someone else who imparted the primary name to the famous chief.
